1992年，为认真贯彻党中央关于“从优秀工人中选拔干部，培养跨世纪后备人才”的精神，中华全国总工会开始在中国劳动关系学院（原中国工运学院）举办劳模本科班。面向全国招收全国劳动模范、全国先进工作者和全国五一劳动奖章获得者，以及省部级劳动模范和少数民族自治区的地市级劳动模范。

2018年4月30日，习近平总书记给劳模本科班学员回信，对学校劳模本科教育给予充分肯定。2019年4月29日，在习近平总书记给劳模本科班学员回信一周年之际，劳模学院挂牌成立。

劳模学院是中国劳动关系学院下设的二级学院，是我国高校首个劳模学院。截至2022年4月，学院共计培养劳模学生873人，其中全国劳动模范288人，全国先进工作者13人，“全国五一劳动奖章“获得者”255人，全国党代表16人，全国人大代表23人，7人兼任省级总工会兼职副主席。10人获中华技能大奖，7人所在团队被授予全国示范性劳模工匠创新工作室，4人被授予全国劳模创新工作室，8人被授予国家技能大师工作室。2019年，1名劳模学生荣获新中国成立7 0周年“最美奋斗者”荣誉称号；2020年，13名劳模学生荣获“全国劳动模范”和“全国先进工作者”称号，2名劳模学生荣获“全国脱贫攻坚先进个人”。

劳模学院将党建工作作为提高劳模政治素质和思想素质的重要举措，积极探索具有鲜明劳模特色的党建实践工作机制，党建引领人才培养、教育教学及各项工作。根据劳模学生特点，劳模学院科学设计人才培养方案，制定完备教学计划，配备优质师资队伍，提供良好教学设施。

社会工作与人力资源管理

人才培养目标 培养具备专业知识、工会理论和劳动关系等相关知识的应用型人才。

课程设置 人才培养方案以“能力提升为主线”，建立“专业教学体系和综合素质培养体系”，设置“公共基础课、专业基础课、专业课、专业拓展课、综合素质课、实践课”六个模块。

师资情况2019年，“劳模本科班社会工作教学团队”和“中国劳动关系学院工会干部培训核心教学团队”荣获北京高校继续教育高水平教学团队，劳模本科班社会工作专业荣获北京高校继续教育特色专业。同时，学校劳动关系和人力资源专业先后入选国家一流专业建设点，为进一步提升我校劳模教育教学质量提供了充足的保障。

  劳模学院持续发挥“劳动模范在校园，大国工匠在身边”的独特优势，以劳模教育助力劳动教育，通过劳模宣讲员和劳模兼职辅导员在青年学子中弘扬劳模精神、劳动精神、工匠精神，努力培养德智体美劳全面发展的社会主义建设者和接班人。

School of Advanced Vocational Education (School of Model Workers) and its Disciplines

In 1992, in order to implement the spirit of the CPC Central Committee on "selecting cadres from excellent workers and training reserve talents for the new century", the ACFTU began to organize an undergraduate program for model workers at CULR (formerly China Institute of Workers Movement). It recruits national model workers, national advanced workers and winners of the national May 1 Labor Medal as well as the ministerial and provincial-level model workers and the prefectural-level model workers from ethnic minority autonomous regions.

On April 30, 2018, General Secretary Xi Jinping gave a letter of reply to the undergraduate students of Model Worker and fully affirmed CULR's undergraduate education of model workers. On April 29, 2019, the first anniversary date of the president's reply, the School of Model Workers was officially founded.

As a second-level school affiliated to CULR, it is the first school of model workers in China. By April 2022, the school totally trained 873 model worker students, including 288 national model workers, 13 national advanced workers, 255 winners of national May 1 Labor Medals, 16 national CPC deputies and 23 National People's Congress deputies, and 7 of whom worked as the part-time vice chairmen of provincial-level federations of trade unions. Among them, 10 students won China Grand Skill Award, 7 were granted the national demonstrative model worker and craftsman innovation studio for their teams, 4 granted with national model worker innovation studio and 8 granted with national skill master studio. In 2019, one model worker student won the honorary title of the Best Striver on the 70th anniversary of the founding of the PRC. In 2020, 13 model worker students won the titles of National Model Worker and National Advanced Worker, and two were awarded the title of "National Advanced Individuals in Poverty Alleviation".

Taking the Party building as an important way to improve the political and ideological quality of model workers, the School of Model Workers actively explores the Party building practice mechanism with distinctive characteristics of model workers, and guides all work by Party building like talent cultivation, education and teaching. Considering the features of model worker students, the school works out scientific talent training programs, improves teaching plans and provides high-quality teaching team and teaching facilities.

Social work and human resource management

Talent cultivation objectives: The discipline is to cultivate the applied talents in possession of relevant knowledge like professional knowledge, labor union theory and labor relations.

Curriculum setting: The talent training program concentrates on the main theme of capacity building and establishes the professional teaching system and comprehensive quality cultivation system consisting of six major modules of public basic course, professional basic course, professional course, professional extension course, comprehensive quality course and practice course.

Faculty: In 2019, the "social work teaching team of model worker undergraduate class" and the "CULR core teaching team of labor union cadre training" were rated as the high-level teaching teams of advanced education of universities in Beijing, and the discipline of social work of model worker undergraduate class was rated as the characteristic discipline of advanced education of universities in Beijing. In addition, CULR's disciplines of labor relations and human resource were both selected as the national first-class disciplines, which further guarantees the university's education quality of model workers.

The school will continue the unique advantage of "model workers and great national craftsmen in campus", boost labor education by model workers, spread the spirits of model workers, labor and craftsmanship among the young university students by model worker speakers and part-time instructors, and strive to develop the socialist builders and successors with all-round development of moral, intellectual, physical, aesthetics and labor education.
