主讲人:Dan Katz教授,纽约城市大学穆尔菲劳动关系学院副院长

    题:The movement of U.S Labor History(美国劳工历史的发展和现状)

Daniel Katz is Interim Associate Director of Worker Education at the Murphy Institute, CUNY.  He was Vice President of Academic Affairs at Metropolitan College of New York and Professor of History and Provost of the National Labor College. Prior to the National Labor College, he was an Associate Professor of History at the State University of New York, Empire State College, where he was also chair of the Master of Arts in Policy Studies program. Katz is the author and editor of numerous books and articles, including his book, All Together Different: Yiddish Socialists, Garment Workers, and the Labor Roots of Multiculturalism published in 2011, and an anthology called Labor Rising: The Past and Future of Working People in America, published in 2012. He is a contributing editor of Labor: Studies in Working-Class History of the Americas, the official journal of the Labor and Working-Class History Association (LAWCHA).  He earned his PhD in history at Rutgers University.

年起任纽约城市大学穆尔菲劳动关系学院副院长。他曾任纽约大都会学院教务副主席以及国家劳动学院(National Labor College)劳动关系研究院院长兼教务长。此前他也曾在纽约州立大学帝国州立学院担任副教授,主讲历史,并兼任政策研究硕士项目主任。Katz博士曾参与编撰多部著作,并在2011年出版著作《众志成城:犹太裔社会学家、服装工人,以及多元文化的劳动关系根源》(All Together Different: Yiddish Socialists, Garment Workers, and the Labor Roots of Multiculturalism),论文选集《劳动者的崛起:美国劳动阶层的昨日与明天》,发表于2012年(Labor Rising: The Past and Future of Working People in America)。他还是美国劳动与工人阶级历史协会(Labor and Working-Class History Association)官方刊物的特约编辑。Katz博士在罗格斯大学(Rutgers University)获历史博士学位。
