Non-degree Programs

The CULR is responsible for managing the trade union cadres training tasks assigned by the All-China Federation of Trade Unions and undertakes customized training projects commissioned by trade unions at various levels. The training programs are mainly for chairmen of city-level and county-level trade unions, CPC local committee and government leaders in charge of and in contact with trade unions, trade union cadres assisting western regions of China, and teachers for trade union colleges and universities. While conducting trade union cadres training at the county level and above, special training courses are offered for grassroots cadres, part-time cadres, socialized trade union workers, model workers, and other different target groups.

The trade union cadres training of the CULR started in 1949 and has always been an important mission of the university, with a fine tradition and a glorious history. In accordance with the work arrangements and requirements of the CPC Party Committee, Secretariat of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions, and the CULR Party Committee, the School of Trade Union Cadres training actively cooperates with the Organization Department of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions to promote the implementation of the trade union cadre education and training work plan, aiming to serve trade unions and society, by promoting harmonious labor relations and high-quality trade union cadre and industrial worker team building. The CULR adheres to the development path of trade unions with Chinese characteristics in its educational approaches, aligns with the spirit of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions and tailors our training content to address hot topics, difficult issues, and practical needs in the field of trade unions and labor relations. We consistently emphasize the core theme of China's labor movement in the new era, focusing on theoretical education, party character education, and specialized skills training to comprehensively enhance the quality of our training. We incorporate the requirements of enhancing "political consciousness, advancement, and mass orientation" throughout the entire process of cadre education and training. By strengthening the "Four Consciousnesses", enhancing the "Four Self-confidences", and achieving the "Two Upholds," we aim to cultivate a high-quality team of trade union cadres who are "loyal to the Party's cause and dedicated to serving the workers". This serves to foster the development of the Party's labor movement and trade union work in a new context.

Over the years, leveraging the CULR's advantages in the "Labor+" and "Trade Union+" disciplines, the School of Trade Union Cadres Training has built a high-level team of dedicated internal teachers for trade union cadres training. This team comprises experts and scholars who are leading figures in the fields of trade unions and labor relations theory in China. Additionally, we appoint external part-time teachers, including leaders with strong political positions and high ideological and political quality, as well as individuals with rich practical experience, great theoretical achievements, and excellent educational skills. These include senior corporate managers, external experts and scholars, advanced models, and outstanding grassroots social cadres. Simultaneously, we continuously develop and improve a series of training courses for trade union cadres, establishing a number of high-quality and gold-standard courses. We strengthen the construction of teaching materials, teaching bases, training facilities, and typical case libraries for the series of trade union cadres training courses. We govern education according to law, strictly manage, and provide high-quality training resources and management services for the cultivation of senior and middle-level management trade union cadres and specialized trade union work talents in trade union organizations at all levels across the country.
