School of Marxism

The School of Marxism was established in July 2019, which comprises the Department of Ideological and Political Education, the Department of Trade Union Studies, the Teaching and Research Section of Ideology and Morality and Rule of Law, the Teaching and Research Section of Basic Principles of Marxism, the Teaching and Research Section of Mao Zedong Thought and Socialism with Chinese Characteristics, the Teaching and Research Section of the Outline of Modern History, and the Institute of Labor Movement History. The school currently has 28 faculty and staff members, including 23 full-time teachers. Among the full-time teachers, there are six professors and five associate professors, 90% of whom hold doctoral degrees. Five faculty members are graduate student supervisors, and some have overseas study or research experience. In March 2021, the Ideological and Political Education major was successfully registered as a new major with the Ministry of Education and has since enrolled two cohorts of undergraduate students. In April 2023, the first undergraduate program in Trade Union Studies nationwide was successfully registered by the CULR with the Ministry of Education.
