The School of Computer Science was established in July 2019, offering an undergraduate program in Computer Science and Technology and undertaking the teaching tasks of public courses in mathematics and computer science across the CULR. The school currently has 25 full-time teachers, including 2 professors, 10 associate professors, and 13 lecturers. All faculty members hold master's degrees or higher, with 10 holding doctoral degrees. The School of Computer Science comprises the Department of Computer Science and Technology, the Computer Science Public Course Teaching Center, the Mathematics Public Course Teaching Center, and the Experimental Teaching Center.
The school places great emphasis on international cooperation, actively expanding friendly exchanges with universities in Japan, Europe, and the United States. It provides students with various opportunities for studying abroad, including exchange programs, short-term study periods, specialized summer camps, and pursuing master's degrees. Kyoto College of Graduate Studies for Informatics in Japan, as a long-term partner of the CULR, has provided opportunities for over 150 of our graduates to pursue postgraduate studies in Japan. The two institutions will continue to strengthen their cooperation to offer students high-quality platforms for further studies abroad.
