The Law School of CULR was established in 1986 and officially became a school in 2016. The law major started enrolling undergraduate students specializing in Labor Law and Social Security Law in 2003. It became a national characteristic specialty construction site in 2007, a Beijing characteristic specialty construction site in 2008, and was approved as a national first-class undergraduate specialty construction site in 2020. In 2022, the virtual teaching and research room for law students (Labor Law and Social Security Law direction) was approved as the first batch of virtual teaching and research room construction pilot sites by the Ministry of Education. The Law School currently has four teaching and research offices, and has established the Labor Law and Trade Union Law Research Center, with practice bases set up in more than ten legal practice departments.
The Law School has a faculty team with good professional ethics, high academic qualifications, strong professional abilities, and a reasonable professional title structure. There are currently 24 teachers, including 7 professors, 6 associate professors, 3 post-doctoral researchers, and 7 teachers with overseas visiting experience, and all teachers have professional qualifications as lawyers.
