From January 17 to 23, a delegation of 15 members from the Academy of Labor and Social Relations (ATISO), headed by Associate Professor Jimidava Svetlana Evgenyevna, paid a week-long friendly visit to our university. The members of the delegation were all leaders of Russian trade union organizations in different industries and regions who studied at the ATISO. Vice President Wu Wanxiong, on behalf of the university, warmly received the Russian delegation and met with the delegation.
At our university, the Russian delegation visited the university history museum and library, held talks with the teachers of the School of Labor Union, and conducted in-depth exchanges on trade union organizations and related work between China and Russia. Associate Professor Ye Pengfei from the School of Labor Union gave a special lecture for the Russian delegation on the protection of the rights and interests of migrant workers in China. Members of the Russian delegation gave special lectures for the students of the School of Labor Union on the theme of trade union work promotion and medical social work.
During this trip, the Russian delegation paid a visit to the Democratic Management Department of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions (ACFTU) and listened to the introduction of the construction and practical results of a series of systems for Chinese trade unions to promote democratic management of enterprises, workers' congresses, factory affairs transparency, workers' directors and supervisors by Director-General Yang Hanping and Deputy Director-General Zhang Tianwen of the Democratic Management Department. Li Guoxiang, Chairman of the Haidian District Federation of Trade Unions, and other district leaders were also invited to our university to discuss and exchange views with the Russian delegation on the work of grass-roots trade unions and employee service guarantees. With the assistance of the Beijing Federation of Trade Unions, the delegation also visited the Beijing Worker Service Center and the Zhongguancun National Independent Innovation Demonstration Zone, and toured around the BAIC Group to exchange views with the enterprise trade union.
The delegation of the ATISO visited the CULR following our university's student delegation's visit to their academy in September 2015. According to the cooperation agreement between the two universities, student exchange visits will be implemented annually as a regular cooperation project between the two universities.
