On the morning of May 22, the CULR held an exchange event with the Human Resources Development Service of Korea at Zhonggong Plaza. The theme of this event was "Population Aging and the Construction of Social Security System." Xu Enyi, Inspector of the International Department of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions, Lee Jung-jik, secretary-general of the Human Resources Development Service of Korea, and Wu Wanxiong, Vice President of the CULR, attended the event. A total of 40 people from the Korean delegation, relevant staff of the International Department of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions and representatives of teachers and students of the CULR participated in the exchange. Vice President Wu Wanxiong met with the delegation on behalf of the CULR and presided over the exchange activities.
Vice President Wu Wanxiong warmly welcomed the Korean delegation and briefly introduced the development history, overview, departmental setup, and curriculum system of the CULR.
During the event, three scholars, Kim Dae-jung, Lee Kyung-ho and Lee Sung-yong of the Human Resources Development Service of Korea, gave keynote speeches on the topics of "Korea's aging and policy changes and career change support system", "Korea's aging and trade union's response plan", "Korea's aging and enterprise human resource planning" respectively. They systematically introduced the current situation of aging in Korea and provided a detailed analysis of key issues such as employment training and wage systems, employment market prospects, union responses to aging policies, elderly welfare policies, and the social insurance market. Cai Zehao, a teacher from the CULR Department of Public Policy and Management, gave a presentation titled "Population Aging and the Construction of China's Social Security System," discussing the basic situation of population aging in China and the main social security systems in place to address it. He provided a deep analysis of China's aging society trends, explored issues such as elderly poverty and public pensions, weakened family support capabilities and elderly care services, and balanced population development and childcare services, and proposed corresponding measures.
During the exchange session, the CULR’s teachers actively interacted with Korean scholars and conducted in-depth exchanges around the theme of the event.
The Human Resources Development Service of Korea is a non-profit legal entity jointly founded by the Ministry of Employment and Labor of the Republic of Korea, the Labor Council, the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions, and the Korea General Association of Operators. Its main tasks include promoting labor-management cooperation, workplace innovation, middle-aged and elderly employment, and international cooperation in the labor field.
