From April to October 2010, with the support of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation (FEF) of Germany, Yu Min, a teacher at the School of Labor Relations and Human Resources, participated in a training program organized by the FEF on the theme "German Labor Dispute Resolution System".
From April to June, Yu Min conducted a study visit at the Hans-Böckler Foundation (HBF) in Dusseldorf, Germany, and discussed the collective dispute resolution system of Germany with senior researchers Heiner Dribbusch, Thorsten Schulten, Reinhard Bispinck, and others from the HBF. The participants at the meeting showed a strong interest in labor relations in China.
After the study visit at the HBS, Yu Min had a three-month internship at the headquarters of IG Metall in Frankfurt. During this period, Yu Min conducted interviews with staff members from the Collective Bargaining Department, International Department, Wage Policy Department, IT and Electronics Department of IG Metall, and discussed the structure of IG Metall, its role in industrial relations in Germany, and the challenges facing the union with them.
After the study project, Yu Min presented an English report titled "The Study of the Labor Dispute Resolution System in Germany" to the HBS.
This study visit to Germany plays a significant role in enhancing the research level of young teachers in our university in the field of labor relations and improving their quality.
