On October 12, at the invitation of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions (ACFTU), a delegation of four people led by Kassahun Follo, President of the Confederation of Ethiopian Trade Unions (hereinafter referred to as CETU), visited our university. Vice President Wu Wanxiong received the delegation on behalf of our university, and relevant leaders from the Institute of Trade Union Cadre Training and the School of Labor Union participated in the discussions and exchanges.
During the discussions, Vice President Wu Wanxiong warmly welcomed the CETU delegation and introduced the university's development history and the current situation of education and teaching. He Bufeng, Director of the Institute of Trade Union Cadre Training , elaborated on the training efforts from the perspectives of training scale, training content and training objects. Professor Liu Yuanwen, Deputy Director of the School of Labor Union, elucidated the mechanisms established by the university's faculty in course delivery, teaching material development, and research endeavors. The CETU delegation members expressed their gratitude for the warm reception and exhibited keen interest in the university's teaching and training, which furthered their understanding of the university's cadre training initiatives and offered valuable inspiration for the CETU's own training institute. At the conclusion of the discussions, both parties exchanged gifts, marking the successful end of the visit.
Founded in 1963, the CETU is the only national trade union organization in Ethiopia. It has a traditional friendly relationship with the ACFTU and is considered a reliable and significant friendly force.
