The Korea Institute for International Economic Policy held an international seminar in Beijing on June 24, 2010 to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the establishment of its Beijing office, with the theme of "The Direction of Economic Cooperation between South Korea and China After the International Financial Crisis." The seminar was co-organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in China and the Korean Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) in China. The Director of the Macroeconomic Research Institute of the National Development and Reform Commission, the Economic Minister of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in China, the President of the KCCI in China, as well as experts and scholars from the economic departments of China's State Council, higher education institutions, and research institutions attended the seminar and conducted discussions. The seminar paid special attention to the development strategies of South Korea and China after the financial crisis, as well as the future direction of cooperation between the two countries after the financial crisis.
Professor Feng Tongqing from the China University of Labor Relations was invited to attend the seminar and exchange views with scholars on labor issues in China-South Korea economic cooperation.
