On the morning of December 15, the signing ceremony of the comprehensive cooperation framework agreement between our university and Renmin University of China was held at Zhiyuan Building of our university. Ma Lu, Vice Chairman, Secretary of the Secretariat and Member of the Party Group of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions (ACFTU), Zhang Donggang, Party Secretary of Renmin University of China, Lin Shangli, President of Renmin University of China, Wang Jiaoping, Secretary of the Secretariat, Member of the Party Group and Director of the Organization Department of the ACFTU, Xu Qingsen, Director of the Department of Social Sciences of the Ministry of Education, Wang Xiaofeng, Head of the Labor and Economic Work Department of the ACFTU, Xu Lu, Director of the China Institute of Labour Movement, Fu Deyin, President of our university, Feng Shizheng, Vice President of Renmin University of China, and Liu Lihong and Wu Wanxiong, Vice Presidents of our university, attended the signing ceremony. The ceremony was presided over by Secretary Liu Xiangbing.

In his speech, Secretary Zhang Donggang pointed out that the two brother universities share the same origin and mission, witnessing the historical context of the founding of higher education by the Communist Party of China, practicing the glorious mission of cultivating outstanding talents for national rejuvenation, and jointly writing the chapter of running the universities that breathe the same air as the Party and the people, share the same future, and stay truly connected to them. On the basis of more than 70 years of friendship, they will once again unite closely and move forward hand in hand, which is a memorable and joyful event. He emphasized that Renmin University of China will take the signing of the agreement as an opportunity to work together with the China University of Labor Relations to conscientiously implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speeches, jointly carry forward the spirit of model workers, labor and craftsmen, innovate labor education, and embark on a new path to build a world-class university with Chinese characteristics, playing a demonstrative and leading role in promoting the construction of an education power and Chinese modernization. He expressed hope that through unity and hard work, the two parties would carry forward our revolutionary traditions and heritage, cultivate a new generation with all-round abilities in areas such as morals, intelligence, physical fitness, work and aesthetics, build an independent knowledge system of labor science in China, and solidly promote the strategic cooperation between the two universities to achieve more fruitful results, standing at the forefront of the times and composing a chapter of the times together in the new journey, contributing powerful educational and labor forces to building a modern socialist country in all respects and advancing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation on all fronts.

Secretary Wang Jiaoping, on behalf of the Party Group of the ACFTU, welcomed the leaders of the Ministry of Education and Renmin University of China, expressed gratitude to Renmin University of China for its strong support over the years, and congratulated the two universities on further deepening comprehensive cooperation. She pointed out that the two universities have a deep relationship and long-standing friendship. Joining hands again this time is not only a vivid practice to comprehensively implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, solidly implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's inspection and research speeches and reply letters, but also a strong measure to run education that satisfies the people, build an independent knowledge system of philosophy and social sciences with Chinese characteristics, and construct a strong education country. She made three requirements for further implementing the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's inspection and research speeches and reply letters and promoting in-depth cooperation between the two universities: first, continuously improve political positions and effectively strengthen the Party's overall leadership over the work of the universities; second, give full play to the advantages of running universities to better serve the needs of the Party's education and labor movement work; third, carry out in-depth and comprehensive cooperation and solidly promote the cooperation between the two universities to achieve more fruitful results. She hoped that the two universities would accelerate the implementation of various tasks, produce more and better results, and make the cooperation between the two universities a model of cooperation in the fields of education and trade unions.

Secretary Liu Xiangbing, on behalf of the Party Group of the university, welcomed all the leaders and expressed gratitude to the ACFTU, the Ministry of Education, and Renmin University of China for their continuous care and support for the university. He reviewed the exchange and cooperation achievements between the two universities in talent cultivation, discipline construction, research think tank construction, faculty team construction, cadre training and exchange, and university governance since the signing of the first cooperation agreement in 2017. He stated that the university would actively connect in accordance with the principle of "resource sharing, complementary advantages, sincere cooperation, and common development", accelerate the implementation of various contents of the 2.0 version of cooperation between the two universities, unite efforts, be pragmatic, and seek common development.

At the ceremony witnessed by Vice Chairman Ma Lu, Secretary Zhang Donggang, Secretary Wang Jiaoping, Director Xu Qingsen, Director Wang Xiaofeng, Director Xu Lu, and leaders of both universities, President Lin Shangli and President Fu Deyin signed a comprehensive cooperation framework agreement on behalf of the two sides.

The signing ceremony was attended by the Office of Party and Administrative Affairs, Department of Scientific, National Academy of Development and Strategy, Journal Management Center, Office of Continuing Education, Domestic Cooperation Office, Trade Union, Academic Affairs Office, School of Public Policy and Management and Policy, School of Labor and Human Resources of Renmin University, and leaders of various departments and schools of our university.

Note: Our university was established in 1946 as the School of Administrative Cadres in Shanxi-Chahar-Hebei Border Area, which was separated from the North China United University, sharing the same origin with Renmin University of China and other universities. On the eve of the founding of the People's Republic of China, our university was rebuilt as the Cadre School for the All-China Federation of Trade Unions, and was known as one of the three major cadre universities of the Party along with the Party School of the Central Committee of the CPC and Renmin University of China at that time. In September 2017, our university signed a comprehensive cooperation framework agreement with Renmin University of China. This event marks the renewal of the comprehensive cooperation framework agreement between the two universities.
