From August 20 to 27, the CULR's Delpartmment of Scientific Research and Foreign Affairs Office organized 21 teachers and students to Nanyang Technological University in Singapore to attend a special training and exchange activity on "Improvement of Students' Academic Abilities".
Nanyang Technological University has offered targeted courses such as "Academic Research Methods" and "Research Ability Development and Training" in accordance with the CULR's training objectives and requirements. At the end of the course, the students presented reports and defended in English in groups based on the topics learned. They were praised by the professors for their English communication ability, professional knowledge level, and teamwork ability, and some teams and individuals have also been awarded the Best Team and Special Contribution Award. The innovation enterprise incubator "I-SPACE" has offered selected courses with the theme of "entrepreneurship training" for the students. It has also devised innovation competitions, case analysis competitions, and team proposal presentations, and issued certificates of completion to all students who have completed the task. During the training period, the CULR’s teachers and students also toured around the campus of Nanyang Technological University and had full exchanges with the students on campus, gaining an overall understanding of the development history of the university and the education system in Singapore.
With its innovative teaching methods, active classroom atmosphere, and fresh teaching experience, this training and exchange activity has impressed the participating teachers and students, playing a positive role in broadening their academic horizons and cultivating their academic spirit.
