At the invitation of the Academy of Labor and Social Relations (ATISO) and the International University “MISTO” , a delegation of five people led by President Li Deqi visited the two universities from June 2 to 11. The delegation was accompanied by Professor Huang Renmin, Director of the School of Public Policy and Management, Professor Li Shuang, Director of the School of Culture and Communication, Professor Yu Shi, Deputy Director of the Academic Affairs Office, and Dr. Li Wenpei from the Law School.
During the visit to Russia, the delegation attended an international academic seminar on the theme of "Vocational Training, Labor Mobility, and Labor Force Transfer" hosted by the ATISO. President Li Deqi delivered a keynote speech titled "Union Training Strategies and Quality Assurance at the China University of Labor Relations," which was highly praised by representatives from various countries in attendance. During the conference, the delegation also exchanged views with leaders and experts from union schools in Ukraine, Greece, Vietnam, Mongolia, Belarus, and other countries. The delegation also held discussions with the President and other key leaders of the ATISO on future academic exchanges between the twouniversities.
During the visit to Belarus, the delegation had multiple meetings with the leadership of the International University “MISTO”. Both sides expressed their intention to expand substantive cooperation in such areas as student exchanges, mutual visits of teachers and administrative staff, and graduate training programs starting from 2010, based on the existing cooperation between the two universities, and agreed upon a draft work plan. The delegation also visited the classrooms, library, auditorium, and other teaching and living facilities of the university, learned about the basic situation of the university's teaching, research, student work, and admission of foreign students, and exchanged views with some departments heads, teachers, and students.
