Recently, at the invitation of Fairleigh Dickinson University and Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey in the United States, Wu Weiping, Vice President of the China University of Labor Relations (CULR) led a delegation to make a friendly visit to the two universities.
During the visit to Fairleigh Dickinson University, the delegation was warmly received by the university. The Vice Dean of the International Education Office of the University, the Director of the International Learning Directorate, the Dean of the School of Public Policy and Management, the Vice Dean of the School of Business, and the Director of the Department of China Project respectively held talks with the delegation, and conducted in-depth discussions on the possible future cooperation between the two universities in public management, labor relations, teacher training, student exchanges, etc., and preliminarily reached a cooperation intention. In addition, the delegation also visited the Metropolitan Campus and Florham Campus of the university.
During the visit to Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, the dean of the School of Management and Labor Relations, the director of the Department of Labor Studies and Employment Relations, and professors from the Department of Labor Studies and Employment Relations held discussions with the delegation. The two sides discussed the feasibility of establishing friendly cooperation and exchanges in the field of labor relations research. They also exchanged views on the application of research results in the field of labor relations at both universities, specialized talent training, and the development of academic journals. The delegation also received a special introduction to the Labor Relations Certificate Program at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey.
In the United States, the delegation was invited to visit and exchange views at the Education Association for China Tomorrow, a non-profit educational institution.
On November 14, to implement the preliminary cooperation intentions reached during the visit to the United States, Professor Jason Scorza, Vice Dean of the Office of International Education at Fairleigh Dickinson University, specifically came to the CULR to further discuss the specific projects of cooperation with the heads of the Academic Affairs Office, the Foreign Affairs Office, and the Finance Office, and expressed a strong desire to cooperate with the CULR. At present, the relevant schools of the CULR have conducted research on specific projects of cooperation.
