On August 20, the Japan-China Student International Conference, jointly organized by the China University of Labor Relations (CULR) and Aichi University in Japan, was successfully held at Zhonggong Plaza of the CULR. Nearly a hundred students from the CULR and the Faculty of Modern Chinese Studies of Aichi University participated in the conference.
President Li Deqi delivered the opening speech. Yukio Sunayama, Director of the Faculty of Modern Chinese Studies of Aichi University, and alumni of Aichi University delivered speeches on strengthening cultural exchange and cooperation between Chinese and Japanese university students, and promoting friendship between China and Japan. Students from Aichi University presented their research reports on rural areas, urban areas, and enterprises in Beijing. After each group presentation, analysis and evaluation were conducted by students from the CULR. The Chinese and the Japanese students also engaged in friendly and lively discussions on topics of mutual interest. Finally, Qiao Jian, Director of the School of Labor Relations and Human Resources of the CULR, provided comments on the conference. He praised the positive discussions and friendly communication among the Chinese and the Japanese students, and expressed his hope that such activities could continue to be carried out effectively in the long term. That evening, a party for the Japan-China Student International Conference was held at Zhonggong Plaza of the CULR, where students gathered together and performed wonderful cultural programs. Peng Yong, Deputy Director of the International Department of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions (ACFTU), leaders of the International Department of the Beijing Federation of Trade Unions, and Vice President Li Huadong of the CULR attended the party.
Before the Japan-China Students International Conference, students from Aichi University and the CULR were divided into three groups to conduct summer inspections and social practice activities in enterprises, communities, schools, rural areas, and residents' homes in Beijing under the specific arrangements and guidance of the International Department of the ACFTU and the International Department of the Beijing Federation of Trade Unions.
