On the morning of April 10, Yahya Musgeva, General Secretary of Trade Union Congress of Tanzania (TUCTA) and his delegation visited our unviersity. The delegation was received by Li Xiaobo, Deputy Director of International Department of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions, Liu Xiangbing, deputy secretary of the Party Committee and president of our unviersity, vice president Wu Wanxiong and Yang Dongmei, a member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee. Relevant personnel from the International Department of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions, the unviersity's Office of Party and Administrative Affairs and the School of trade union cadres training attended the discussion, which was moderated by vice president Wu Wanxiong.
At the meeting, President Liu Xiangbing extended a warm welcome to the general secretary and his delegation. He introduced our unviersity's history, evolution and development status, reviewed the long-standing friendship between China and Tanzania, and noted that China's Belt and Road Initiative has brought more changes and development opportunities to the field of labor relations of both countries.
The general secretary thanked the warm reception of our unviersity and briefly introduced his country, TUCTA and Tanzanian academy of labor relations. He looked forward to deeper cooperation with our unviersity on mutual visits, collaborative research and dispatching personnel to attend the union cadres training course organized by our unviersity.
Founded in 2001, TUCTA is Tanzania's unique national trade union. It currently has 13 national industrial trade union organizations with a total of 650,000 members.
