On October 30 and 31, the Labor Law and Social Security Law Summit Forum on the Adjustment of Individual Labor Relations in Globalization: International Conference on Labor Contract Law, jointly organized by the Law School of Renmin University of China (RUC) and the Institute of Labor Law and Social Security Law of RUC, and co-organized by Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University, Lumière University Lyon 2, French Labor Law Society, and the Francophone University Agency, was held at the International Lecture Hall, Room 601, Mingde Law Building, Law School, RUC.
Experts, scholars, and professionals from China, France, Australia, Cambodia, and other countries in the judicial and legal fields gathered to discuss five major topics: the definition of labor contracts (labor relations), termination and performance of labor contracts, types of labor contracts and legislative choices, legal issues of labor dispatch, and evaluation of the implementation effects of labor contract law, during the one-and-a-half-day event.
Professor Jiang Ying from the Law School of the CULR delivered a keynote speech titled "Legal Regulation on the 'Prosperous' Development of Labor Dispatch", expressing her views on the development of labor dispatch after the implementation of the Labor Contract Law of the People's Republic of China. She believed that after the Labor Contract Law was enacted, the situation of labor dispatch has worsened. The reasons for this include problems with the law itself, employers evading the law, some government officials having misconceptions, and issues with the development model of China. After analyzing the importance of regulating labor dispatch, she suggested that China should promptly introduce specific regulations to regulate the labor dispatch system. Several teachers from the Law School of the CULRparticipated in the seminar.
