On the morning of October 15th, Rector Pham Van Ha of Vietnam Trade Unions University visited our school. Party Secretary Liu Xiangbing and Vice President Wu Wanxiong met with the delegation, and heads of relevant departments participated in the discussion chaired by Vice President Wu Wanxiong.
At the meeting, Secretary Liu Xiangbing extended a warm welcome to President Pham Van Ha and his delegation. He reviewed the cooperation and exchanges with Vietnam Trade Unions University, and said that Vietnam Trade Unions University had always attached great importance to the cooperation with our school and valued the traditional friendship between the two universities. He pointed out that Vietnam Trade Unions University was one of the first trade union universities to sign cooperation agreement with us, brewing a deep friendship in such a long time. He hoped to further promote the cooperation on current basis, renew cooperation agreements, actively carry out trade union cadres training, exchange, teaching research and other related activities of teachers and students, and share research results and experiences.
Rector Pham Van Ha thanked our school for the warm reception. He said that it was a great honor to be invited to visit CULR on the occasion of the 70th anniversary. In the past, the two schools had maintained friendly and cooperative relations and actively carried out exchanges based on the provisions of the cooperation agreement. He pointed out that Vietnam Trade Unions University had gained a lot of valuable experience in the process of cooperation and exchange with our school. He hoped that both sides could carry out in-depth cooperation in more fields, especially in the field of labor relations and training of trade union cadres, and further strengthen the exchanges between teachers and students as well as scientific research cooperation.
At the meeting, the two sides renewed the cooperation framework agreement and had in-depth exchanges on the next step of cooperation. Li Bingbin, General Secretary of the Party branch of the Department of Trade Union Cadres Training, introduced the training of trade union cadres and teachers in our school; Qiao Jian, Director of International Exchange and Cooperation, summarized the content of further cooperation.
During the celebration, the delegation was invited to give a lecture entitled "Social Relations in Vietnam and the Role of Vietnamese Trade Unions in International Integration".
Vietnam Trade Unions University is one of Hanoi's top 10 universities. At present, the university has more than 300 teachers and more than 8,000 students. It has 9 departments, including safety engineering, economic management, social work, labor relations and law, and 5 master's programs and 5 doctoral programs.
