From November 2nd to November 6th, the 21th Social Asia Forum hosted by our school was successfully held in Xiamen. Zhang Maohua, member of the Party committee, National Secretary and Minister of the Human Resources Department of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions, Zheng Xiaorui, Vice President of Fujian Provincial Federation of Trade Unions, Liu Xiangbing, Vice Chairman of University Council and President of CULR, and Jiang Ying, member of University Council and Dean of Law School of CULR attended the forum. Eight professors from Law School, Department of Labor Relations and Department of Safety Engineering of CULR and more than 70 experts and scholars from Japan, South Korea, Mainland China and Taiwan attended the forum.
Social Asia Forum is an academic exchange platform which is dedicated to issues on trade unions, labor relations and labor laws and is jointly launched by trade unions and scholars of China, Japan, Korea and Taiwan. It was founded in 1995 and was hosted by the parties every year and had been held for 21 times now. The success of this forum has played a positive role in promoting the study of labor relations and trade union work under the influence of new information technologies, and also further expanded the influence of our university and deepened the academic exchanges in the labor relations and trade union fields in Northeast Asia.
The theme of this forum is “The Impact of New Information Technology on Labor and Employment - The Role of Trade Unions”.
