From September 18 to 23, a delegation of 12 graduate students and teachers from our university was invited to the Academy of Labor and Social Relations (ATISO) for a five-day exchange visit. The delegation was led by Professor Wang Shufen, Director of the Graduate School.
The visit was warmly received by the International Exchange Office of the ATISO, which arranged rich lectures and exchanges.
On the morning of September 19, Professor Nikolay Gritsenko, President of the ATISO, received the delegation and delivered a speech on the theme of "Establishing a Social State and Trade Union Work". In the lecture, Professor Nikolay Gritsenko introduced the important role of the ATISO in promoting the process of establishing a social state in Russia, expounded on the connotation and characteristics of the social state, and analyzed the status of trade unions in the construction of the social state. At the end of the lecture, Professor Nikolay Gritsenko presented our university's delegation with his book, The Foundations of a Social State.
On the afternoon of September 19, the representatives of teachers and students of our university attended the opening ceremony of "Trade Union Week" organized by the Academy's trade union and listened to a special lecture by Professor Demidova on "Issues of the Contemporary Russian Trade Union Movements: Current Situation and Difficulties", which provided us with a clear understanding of the operational principles, models, basic status, and existing difficulties of Russian trade unions.
During the visit, Professor Shakov gave a special lecture on Communication Theory and Model to the delegation members and organized a tour of the campus of the ATISO, providing insights into the Academy's development history, which proved to be highly beneficial for everyone.
On September 22, representatives of graduate students and teachers of our university were invited to attend the International Scientific Conference on Labor in the 21st Century hosted by the Academy. At the conference, representatives from the International Labour Organization and experts and scholars from Russia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Vietnam, Uzbekistan, Mongolia and other countries presented their research results on the current challenges facing the labor field and trade unions. At the conference, topics such as "The Issue of Migrant Workers in China" by Professor Cao Rong, and "Overview of China's Labor Dispute Settlement System" by Professor Yang Sibin and 2014 graduate student Zhu Haibo received significant attention from the attending experts, and they were invited to give keynote speeches.
At the end of the exchange visit, Professor Nikolay Gritsenko, President of the ATISO, gave a positive affirmation of the delegation's active learning and active participation in discussions, and warmly welcomed everyone to visit the ATISO again during its 100th anniversary in 2019. On behalf of the visiting teachers and students, Professor Wang Shufen, Director of the Graduate School of our university, expressed gratitude for the rich and colorful learning and exchange activities arranged by the Russian host, and hoped to take this opportunity to further broaden and strengthen the exchanges and cooperation between the two universities.
