At the invitation of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions, a delegation of 16 members from the World Federation of Trade Unions (WFTU) visited the CULR on December 3. President Li Deqi, Vice President Liu Yufang, and Director He Bufeng of the Institute of Trade Union Cadre Training received the delegation and held discussions with them.
During the meeting, President Li Deqi warmly welcomed the WFTU delegation and briefly introduced the history, and current educational situation, as well as the tasks and future development direction of the CULR in the context of comprehensively deepening reform in China. Vice President Liu Yufang introduced the educational focus, teaching mission, academic exchanges, research guidance and principles, research achievements, and other aspects of the CULR's education and research overview from different historical periods. Director He Bufeng introduced the scale, content, and target of cadre training at the CULR. After the meeting, Vice President Liu Yufang led the delegation to visit the teaching buildings, library, and other educational facilities.
Members of the delegation showed great interest in the the CULR's teaching and training. They expressed their gratitude for the warm reception and stated that the meeting further deepened their understanding of the CULR's education, hoping to establish cooperation between the two institutions.
The World Federation of Trade Unions is one of the two major international trade union organizations. It was established on October 3, 1945, with its headquarters in Greece and 67 million members. The Chinese trade unions have a deep traditional friendship with the WFTU, and they have always supported each other and cooperated closely in the international community.
