On the morning of April 28, a delegation of the Organisation of African Trade Union Unity, led by Secretary-General Owei Lakemfa, visited the CULR. President Li Deqi met with the guests, and teachers specializing in labor relations, labor law, and trade union cadres training also participated in the discussion.
President Li Deqi first welcomed the visit of the delegation from the African Trade Union Unity Organization and introduced the basic development of the CULR to the guests. President Li spoke highly of the special status and important role of the Organisation of African Trade Union Unity in the African continent and international labor movement, expressing the willingness to strengthen cooperation and exchanges between the CULR and the Organisation of African Trade Union Unity and its affiliated trade union cadres training institutions. Secretary-General Owei Lakemfa, on behalf of the visiting delegation, thanked the CULR for its warm reception. He hoped to learn more and draw lessons from the CULR's experience in trade union cadres training, curriculum design, management methods, etc., and to use this visit as an opportunity to promote substantive cooperation with Chinese trade unions and the CULR in the future.
The Organisation of African Trade Union Unity was established in 1973, with its headquarters in Accra, the capital of Ghana. It is the only regional trade union organization in Africa that includes trade unions from all African countries, with its members including over 70 national trade union organizations from 54 countries in Africa.
