On the afternoon of June 28, Liu Xiangbing, Secretary of the Party Committee of China University of Labor Relations (CULR), met with the delegation of the Macao Federation of Trade Unions (MFTU) at Zhuhai Workers' Cultural Palace and held a friendly symposium. Ho Sut Heng, President of MFTU, and Lee Chong Cheng, Chairman of the Board of Directors, attended the symposium. Li Ke, Vice President of China University of Labor Relations (CULR) and member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, also attended, together with leaders from the Guangdong Office and Amateur Continuing Study Centre of MFTU, as well as from CULR's Office of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs, Scientific Research Department, Institute of Labor Relations and Trade Unions, and Graduate School. The symposium was chaired by Li Ke.

Liu Xiangbing emphasized that the symposium aimed to strengthen cooperation between the two parties in training and research, and advance the implementation of the "Framework Agreement on the Collaborative Educational Project between China University of Labor Relations and the Macau Federation of Trade Unions". He stated that serving the development of Macau's trade union cause is a responsibility of the university. Building on the existing foundation of cooperation, both parties can further deepen practical collaboration through the "Five-One Project": first, offering customized short-term training courses; second, exploring the establishment of postgraduate programs; third, jointly developing the Macau Trade Union Talent Training Base; fourth, conducting joint research on the history of the labor movement; and fifth, initiating a series of research projects focusing on the alignment of labor relations regulations in the Greater Bay Area and related topics.

Ho Sut Heng provided a detailed introduction to the Macau Federation of Trade Unions' practices and needs in serving employees and advancing the labor movement. She pointed out that the Macau Federation of Trade Unions is assuming new responsibilities and missions, and should play a greater role in fostering harmonious labor relations, training trade union personnel, and contributing to the broader national development agenda.

During the symposium, both parties engaged in in-depth exchanges on trade union talent development, theoretical research, and practical innovation, and reached a consensus.

This symposium further consolidated the cooperative foundation between the university and the Macau Federation of Trade Unions, marking the beginning of a new stage in exchanges and collaboration between the two parties. In the future, both parties will be guided by serving the Belt and Road Initiative and the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, leveraging their respective strengths to enhance the professionalism of trade union work, and contributing to the high-quality development as well as long-term prosperity and stability of Macau's trade union cause.
