On December 16, the closing ceremony of the short-term Chinese course for Russian zero-base students was held online, which was co-organized by the the CULR and the Academy of Labor and Social Relations (ATISO). Wu Wanxiong, Vice President of the the CULR, and Professor Zhukovsky Vladimir, Vice President of the ATISO were invited to deliver speeches at the closing ceremony. The ceremony was also attended by the representatives of teachers and students of the ATISO and the representatives of teachers and workers of the School of Culture and Communication and the International Office of Cooperation and Exchange of the the CULR.
On behalf of the the CULR, Vice President Wu Wanxiong warmly congratulated the 44 students from the ATISO on the successful completion of the course study, and sincerely thanked the 4 instructors from the School of Culture and Communication of the the CULR for their dedicated effort. He stressed that the course is a beneficial exploration and attempt to cooperate on language training between the two universities. Thanks to the close attention of leaders and the meticulous arrangements of relevant departments of both universities, the course has achieved a good result and gained valuable experience, laying a foundation for deeper intercollegiate cooperation. He hoped that in the future the two universities would continue to organize more diversified collaboration and exchange programs, and through online-offline combination enable more Chinese and Russian students to deepen understanding and friendship, thus jointly promoting the cultural dialogue and exchange between the two countries.
Vice President Zhukovsky Vladimir expressed sincere gratitude for the the CULR's strong support. He noted that although the two-month duration is short, the Chinese language study course inspires students' interest in learning the Chinese language and the Chinese culture. He hoped that both sides further plan the ways and methods of language training cooperation based on this course, and create more opportunities for communication between teachers and students of the two universities.
At the closing ceremony, Associate Professor Xie Wenchao from the School of Culture and Communication of the the CULR delivered a speech on behalf of the 4 instructors to fully acknowledge their strict and elaborate teaching effort, express gratitude for their hard work, and extend sincere congratulations on the accomplishment of the students in the course. He hoped that the students would maintain their enthusiasm for learning the Chinese language, make greater progress, and get a good result in the final exam. The student representatives of the ATISO talked about their feelings of study, and expressed heartfelt thanks to the the CULR for providing the learning opportunity and the dedicated effort of the teaching staff.
This course aims to provide centralized and intensive training and enable international students to master basic skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing, so that they can flexibly apply the dialogues in textbooks to daily verbal communication, and to some extent understand and comprehend the cultural background of China and the cultural knowledge of the Chinese language. The course helps the the CULR accumulate experience in publicity, teaching and management for future enrollment and cultivation of international students, and helps build and improve the the CULR's international communication capability and influence.
