On June 19, 2011, a delegation of 44 teachers and students from the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (IVE) visited the Beijing campus of the China University of Labor Relations (CULR) and engaged in several wonderful exchange activities with the teachers and students of the School of Labor Union.
Accompanied by Associate Director Zhang Mo and other teachers and students from the School of Labor Union, IVE teachers and students visited the teaching buildings, library, school history museum, and experimental center of the CULR. Subsequently, the teachers and students went to the social work laboratory to carry out a series of exchange and performance activities. The scene drama "How to Adjust Conflicts in Family Relationships" performed by students from the School of Labor Union showcased professional social work methods. The drama "Cultural Characteristics of Hong Kong Youth" performed by IVE students showcased the learning situation, campus life, and how young people adapt to work requirements from various aspects such as study, life, and entertainment. Students from both schools also exchanged experiences in volunteer services and growth guidance services, and participated in interactive games such as "Finding Friends in a Forest" and "Getting Change", bringing them closer in laughter. In the group psychological sandbox game, students depicted their beautiful wishes.
Through the activities, students learn from each other, share joy, and build good friendships. The activities strengthen the cultural exchange between teachers and students from the Chinese mainland and Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, which is of great significance in promoting their professional learning and voluntary services.
