On the morning of November 27th, the academic exchange between our school and Japan International Labor Foundation was held in classroom 508. Xu Enyi, Vice Director of the International Department of ACFTU, Nagumo Hiroyuki, Chairman of Japan International Labor Foundation, and Wu Wanxiong, Vice President of our school attended the activity. Over 30 people from the delegation of Japan, relevant staff from the International Department of ACFTU and representatives of teachers and students in our school attended the activity presided over by Vice President Wu Wanxiong.
In his concluding speech, Chairman Nagumo Hiroyuki compared the labor market conditions of China and Japan, and pointed out that in the context of the coming digital economy and the fourth industrial revolution, improving the quality of industrial workers was a common challenge for the two countries. Vice Director Xu Enyi reviewed China's achievements in economic development since the founding of China. He pointed out that high-quality industrial workers were an important driving force for China's rapid economic development and also an important guarantee for China's future development and competitiveness. He hoped that scholars would pay close attention to and study on the subject.
The theme of this exchange was "relevant policies and measures for vocational skills training of industrial workers". Mr. Suzuki Hiroji of Japan International Labor Foundation introduced the history and economic evolution, status quo and problems as well as the function and role of Japan's trade unions in detail. And Ms. Samumukoko systematically introduced the measures and auxiliary policies of Japan's professional ability development, and demonstrated a complete system from job hunting, improving professional skills to unemployment relief. Guo Yuqiang, Associate Professor of the Department of Labor Relations of our school, analyzed the advantages and disadvantages of China's workforce structure from two aspects: the status of China's workforce and national policies and measures, and introduced a series of policies and measures put forward in recent two years to improve the skills of industrial workers and migrant workers. In the exchange section, teachers of our school actively interacted with representatives from the Japanese side and carried out in-depth communications centering on the theme of the activity.
Founded in 1989, Japan International Labor Foundation(JILAF) is a group dedicated in international labor relations jointly established by the Japanese General Confederation of Trade Unions, the Japanese foreign ministry and the Japanese health, labor and welfare ministry, committed to constructing international framework through international exchanges and cooperation, creating a society with labor dignity, fairness and justice. ACFTU began to carry out friendly exchanges and cooperation with JILAF in 1997, with regular visits on both sides.
