On November 2nd, a delegation of 16 people headed by Lin Minxiong, Chairman of the Labor dispute Mediation Association of Xinbei City in Taiwan, visited our school to conduct a one-day academic and practical discussion with teachers and students in related fields on the resolution of cross-Strait labor disputes. Wu Wanxiong, member of University Council and Vice President of CULR, received the Chairman Lin Minxiong and his delegation. Some teachers from Trade Union School, Law School and Department of Labor Relations, postgraduate representatives and relevant staff of Foreign Affairs Office participated in the discussion and exchange.
Vice President Wu Wanxiong welcomed the arrival of Chairman Lin Minxiong and his party, and briefly introduced the history, current situation and international exchanges and cooperation of our university, and highlighted the exchange and cooperation between our university and Taiwan. Chairman Lin Minxiong expressed his gratitude to our school for arranging this seminar and exchange and briefly introduced the basic situation of the council. He hoped to take this opportunity to exchange views on the managing mechanism of labor and capital disputes in the Mainland and to share his experiences in dealing with labor and capital disputes in Taiwan with a view to resolving disputes promptly and properly in the labor and capital mediation work between the two sides of the Taiwan Straits.
