On the morning of November 14, the academic exchange activity between CULR and Korean Labor Foundation entitled “the new situation of the development of work force and labor relations under the new technology, new business mode and new model” was held in classroom 508. XU Enyi, Vice Director of the International Department of All-China Federation of Trade Unions, SUN Bixun, Labor Officer of the South Korean Embassy in China, and Vice President WU Wanxiong of CULR attended the event. A total of 40 people from the Korean delegation, scholars from the Chinese Academy of Labour and Social Security, relevant staff of the International Department of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions and representatives of teachers and students of CULR participated in the event. Vice President WU Wanxiong presided over the event.
At the event, Dr. MENG Jiduo of the Chinese Academy of Labor and Social Security analyzed the problems existing in new forms of employment and entrepreneurship under the development trend of China's shared economy and the development and thinking of promoting new forms of employment and entrepreneurship in the future. With the topic of “Digital economy and future work”, JI Wenwen, teacher of the School of Advanced Vocational Education of CULR, profoundly expounded the digital economy from the aspects of concept, characteristics and the matching mechanism of the labor market affected by technological progress, and deeply analyzes the various risks brought by the new employment form and the future research direction. Park Dae Seung, Chang Cheng Yuand Hur Jai-Joonof the Korea Labor Foundation delievred speeches on “workers and trade unions in the era of the 4th industrial revolution”, “changes in industrial structure and labor relations” and “challenges posed by digital transformation to labor norms and social security system”. The three scholars introduced the current situation of labor relations in South Korea systematically and expressed their vision of both employers and laborers adapting to new developments and living together in the time of industrial revolution. In the discussion session, teachers of CULR and Korean scholars actively interacted and conducted in-depth exchanges around the theme of the activity.
