From September 23rd to 27th, the school's China-Arab Labor and Economics Academic Exchange Week was held on the Beijing campus. Professor Antonio from the University of Tierra del Fuego, Argentina, participated on invitation.
In Room 312 of Wendao Building on September 24, professor Antonio was invited to enter the "Contemporary Chinese Economic Topics" class of Professor Yan Xiaofei, bringing a vivid economic class to students majoring in economics and winning himself a lasting applause. In class, Professor Antonio introduced the economic and social conditions in Argentina in detail, students asked actively questions about economic and cultural differences between China and Argentina, and the atmosphere was lively and warm.
On September 26, Professor Antonio headed towards the Zhuozhou campus to give a lecture on "Argentine Economic Development and Higher Education". In the lecture, he gave a comprehensive introduction to Argentina's politics, economy, culture, education and other aspects, and responded actively to the issues of students' concern on higher education in Argentina.
On September 28, Meeting on Labor and Economics Academic Exchange, the last activity of China-Arab Labor and Economics Academic Exchange Week, was held in Conference Room 409 of Zhiyuan Building. At the meeting, Professor Antonio introduced the employment situation in Argentina. Teachers from our school, Zhao Mingfei and Wang Shanna, gave academic reports entitled "Research on the Employment Quality of Migrant Workers in China" and "Research on Employment and Income Status of Employees". Participating teachers and students extended enthusiastic exchanges on the issue of development and employment. After the meeting, the two parties exchanged gifts and expressed their good wishes to continue promoting academic cooperation between the two universities.
The China-Arab Labor and Economics Academic Exchange Week is an important activity carried out in accordance with the cooperation framework agreement signed between the two universities in October 2018. It not only broadens the academic horizon of our school's teachers, but also opens up students’ professional vision, builds a new channel of construction and mutual promotion of teaching and scientific research as well as being conducive to increasing mutual understanding and trust between the two parties while laying a good foundation for further cooperation and serving as an active exploration on improving our school’s international education level.
