From December 1 to 8, 11 students from the School of Labor Relations and Human Resources of the CULR, led by teachers Guo Yuqiang and Liu Xiaoqian, went to China’s Taiwan Region for an 8-day academic exchange.
The visiting group first visited the School of Labor Relations and Human Resources of the Chinese Culture University, where Professor Xu Guangzheng, director of the school, introduced the history, majors, curriculum, and student training of the school. Professors Xu Guangzheng, Chen Zhengliang, Associate Professor Pan Shiwei, and Dr. Bai Jingwen had in-depth discussions with the visiting group on labor relations, union development, and human resource management in China’s Taiwan Region.
During the stay in China’s Taiwan Region, the visiting group also visited the Institute of Labor Studies at National Chengchi University, Taoyuan Industry Labor Union, Taiwan Tobacco and Liquor Corporation Labor Union, and Textile and Dyeing Workers' Union, and had discussions with relevant personnel to gain a deeper understanding of the roles and functions of the three parties in labor relations, the implementation of labor standards, and other professional topics.
Through this academic exchange, the CULR’s students and teachers enriched their professional knowledge, deepened their understanding of labor relations issues in China’s Taiwan Region, enhanced friendship with Chinese Culture University and the Institute of Labor Studies at National Chengchi University, and laid a solid foundation for future visits and cooperation.
