At the invitation of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions, Horst Mund, director of the International Department of IG Metall in Germany, and his four colleagues came to China for a working visit and held a working meeting at our university on November 27. Li Deqi, president of the CULR, and Wu Wanxiong, vice president, attended the meeting.

During the talks, the two sides reviewed the history of exchanges between the two institutions. The German representatives expressed their pleasure to visit the CULR again and hoped to cooperate with the CULR on relevant training projects during the 13th Five-Year Plan period. President Li Deqi briefed the German guests on the main tasks facing trade unions in China under the background of comprehensively deepening reform. On this basis, the two sides exchanged views on the cooperation of the trade union cadre training project and reached a preliminary intention.
