On the afternoon of November 9, Thomas Giaro, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Law and Administration, University of Warsaw in Poland and his delegation visited the CULR for exchange. Liu Xiangbing, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of the CULR, met with the delegation. Wu Wanxiong, a member of the Party Committee Standing Committee and Vice President of the CULR, attended the meeting and had discussions and exchanges with the delegation. Directors from the School of Labor Relations and Human Resources and the Law School, as well as some teachers, attended the meeting and discussion.
President Liu Xiangbing welcomed Vice Dean Giaro and his delegation, expressed great support for the exchange and cooperation between the CULR and the Faculty of Law and Administration, University of Warsaw, and signed a framework agreement for cooperation between the two universities. Vice Dean Giaro said that he was looking forward to the cooperation between the two universities and believed that such cooperation under the framework of the "Belt and Road" initiative would bring more development opportunities for both sides.
At the conference, Vice President Wu Wanxiong introduced the history and current development of the CULR, especially the relevant situation of the Law School and the School of Labor Relations and Human Resources. He stated that these two schools have a good foundation of cooperation with the Faculty of Law and Administration, University of Warsaw, hoping to carry out more extensive cooperation and exchanges in the future. Vice Dean Giaro expressed gratitude for the warm reception from the CULR and briefly reviewed the history and current development of the Faculty of Law and Administration, University of Warsaw. He added that the Faculty of Law and Administration, University of Warsaw is very eager to engage in academic cooperation with the CULR in related fields.
The two sides had preliminary communication on future cooperation in relevant fields, especially on inter-university exchanges, mutual visits of teachers and student visits under the framework of the "Belt and Road" initiative, and hoped to further discuss the details of cooperation and implement the cooperation agreement as soon as possible.
The University of Warsaw is a renowned research-oriented university, one of the top universities in Eastern Europe, one of the top 300 universities in the world, and the largest national university in Poland. The Faculty of Law and Administration, University of Warsaw was established earlier than the University of Warsaw and was later merged into the University of Warsaw in 1816. It is now one of the six faculties of the university. The Faculty of Law and Administration has 6 research fields and multiple legal research centers, including the Research Center on Chinese Law and Economy.
