Since the outbreak of the fifth round of the COVID-19 pandemic in Hong Kong SAR, the CULR has been concerned about the safety and health of teachers and students in Hong Kong SAR. In order to implement the spirit of the important instructions of Chinese President Xi Jinping on assistance to the fight against the pandemic in Hong Kong SAR, help local trade unions secure the work of epidemic prevention and control, and assist teachers and students in Hong Kong SAR in fighting against the pandemic and overcome difficulties, thanks to the effective assistance of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in Hong Kong SAR and Hong Kong Federation of Trade Unions (HKFTU), the CULR gained a detailed understanding of the needs of life, study, work and epidemic prevention of local teachers and students. Through meticulous arrangement and coordination of all relevant parties, the university finally managed to entrust HKFTU to purchase and distribute 20,000 COVID-19 antigen testkits to the postgraduates, junior college students and teachers of Hong Kong Financial Services Institute (HKFSI), the CULR base in Hong Kong SAR, sending a warm and caring message from the alma mater.

On April 7, Yau Yiu Shing Anthony, Vice Chairman of HKFTU and a 2019 postgraduate in Hong Kong SAR, received the reagent testkits on behalf of the federation. He expressed heartfelt thanks to the CULR for its care for teachers and students in Hong Kong SAR. The federation will distribute the anti-epidemic supplies to them and other relevant organs, so that they can carry out daily tests to protect themselves. So far Niu Yan, Vice President of HKFSI has received the reagent testkits on behalf of the institute. Teachers and students in Hong Kong SAR will soon receive the testkits and a special letter from the CULR.

The virus is merciless but the CULR is full of love. Let's work together to win the battle against the pandemic!
