From July 7th to 13th, CULR successfully held the "2019 Taiwan Trade Union Youth Workshop" with the theme of "Dream from the youth, by the craftsmanship, of the union". The 7-day workshop was held in Beijing and Qingdao, with 54 participants from CULR’s Department of Labor Relations and Human Resources, Department of Cultural Communication, Department of Trade Unions, Department of Public Administration, Department of Safety Engineering, the youth cadres of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions, and the youth of Taiwan.
Divided into three groups, the workshop conducted researches under the following three topics: "hand in hand, dream for the future: multi-dimensional thinking of cross-strait integration, exchange and development", "inheritance and prospect of labor spirit in the new era" and "civilization co-inheritance and society co-development" through channels such as lectures, visits, communications, literature research and practical experience in ways of comparative study, case study and literature study.
On the afternoon of July 12th, the review session and closing ceremony of 2019 Taiwan Trade Union Youth Workshop was successfully held in Qingdao. Wang Guoqing, Director of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Office of CWCIE, Bai Ming, Director of Shandong Worker’s Center of Exchange, and Li Ming, Vice Chairman of Qingdao Federation of Trade Unions attended the event.
On the meeting, the research group on cross-straits integration compared mainland and Taiwan’s differences in transportation culture, model worker culture and traditional culture from the perspectives of culture, enterprises and individuals. The research group on labor spirit started from the source analysis, learned the labor spirits in enterprises such as Didi, Rechi and Haier, and appealing on the youth on both sides to chase their dreams hand in hand. The research group on cultural inheritance and social development started from the Hutongs in Beijing, and studied ancient Chinese civilization, building layout and visited enterprises.
2019 Taiwan Trade Union Youth Workshop was a brand exchange event between trade unions on both sides of the Taiwan Straits, aiming to deepen exchanges, enhance mutual understanding, facilitate integrated development and promote spiritual harmony. This event encouraged young people from Taiwan to study, work and live in the mainland, facilitated young people from both sides to understand each other, cultivate friendship, explore the characteristics of trade unions, innovate ways of communication, and think deeply about the historical task that young people should shoulder in realizing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
