On the afternoon of October 12, Liu Fei, Vice President of Kyoto College of Graduate Studies for Informatics (KCGI) visited CULR on the occasion of CULR celebrating its 75th anniversary. He was received by Liu Lugang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission and Chairman of the Trade Union of CULR, together with the persons in charge of the Office of International Exchange and Cooperation, the School of Computer Sciences and the School of Social Work.
At the meeting, CULR Vice Secretary Liu Lugang warmly welcomed KCGI Vice President Liu Fei. He reviewed the intercollegiate cooperation results over the past nearly two decades, and shared CULR's development history and present status, as well as the progress and achievements of disciplinary development, talent training and international exchanges and cooperation in recent years. He hoped that the two universities further strengthen communication and exchange, deepen cooperation content, and thus seek new development of education.
Vice President Liu Fei expressed his gratitude for the warm reception and highly appreciated CULR's achievements in disciplinary development and educational characteristics formation over the past 75 years. He noted that since the start of intercollegiate cooperation, CULR has sent nearly 150 students to KCGI for further studies who have obtained master's degrees, and some of them have found jobs in Japan. He expected that the both sides seize the opportunity to further deepen exchanges and broaden cooperation, so as to cultivate more excellent students.
Both sides had in-depth communication and discussion on topics including talent cultivation of the majors of computer sciences and social work, collaboration on scientific research, mutual visit of teachers and students, internship and employment of graduates. After the meeting, Vice President Liu Fei visited the thematic exhibition of "New Era Comes from Hard Work": CULR studies and implements the spirit of Chinese President Xi Jinping's reply letter, and the university history museum.
Founded in 2004 and based in Kyoto, KCGI is Japan's first professional private college for IT postgraduate education to satisfy the high-end and diversified talent needs of the IT society, and quickly respond to information and IT development. By teaching theories and applied technologies in polytechnics, management science and other academic fields, the college aims to cultivate senior professionals of applied informatics shouldering mission of the times, and owning advanced practice capability and creativity.
