From October 25 to 27, CULR and Hunan International Business Vocational College co-organized the "Seminar for Turkmenistan Trade Union Cadres". In alignment with China's 2024 Foreign Aid Training Program, this seminar aims to enhance exchange and cooperation between China and Turkmenistan in building trade union organizations and cultivating trade union cadres. By presenting the implementation background, overall philosophy, specific measures, and achievements of China's trade union development, this seminar seeks to offer Turkmenistan Chinese experiences and solutions for the building and development of trade unions in Turkmenistan.
On the morning of October 25, Fu Deyin, President of CULR, welcomed Ataberdiyev Sapar, Deputy Chairman of the National Center of Trade Unions of Turkmenistan, along with 14 other delegates, in Meeting Room 408 of the Weishi Building. Both sides engaged in in-depth discussions on trade union development, talent cultivation, and future cooperation.
President Fu Deyin noted that CULR highly values this seminar and anticipates that the event will enhance exchange and cooperation between China and Turkmenistan in cultivating trade union talent. He highlighted that building a bilateral exchange mechanism focused on trade unions and labor relations is of great significance for advancing the friendly relations between the two countries.
Deputy Chairman Ataberdiyev Sapar commended the Belt and Road Initiative for closely connecting the two countries and expressed gratitude to China for sharing valuable experiences in the field of trade unions. He provided an overview of trade unions in Turkmenistan, highlighting their close ties with the global working class and their commitment to safeguarding workers' legitimate rights and maintaining harmonious labor relations.
Gulamov Jirkishmirat, Director of the Foreign Credential Evaluation Office of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, underscored the essential role of high-quality education in elevating workers' status and safeguarding their legitimate rights. He lauded China's invaluable experience in labor education and noted that the Silk Road has opened up new avenues for Turkmenistan to engage with other countries. He also expressed hope for closer ties with CULR in areas related to international students, such as exchange students and language students.
After the discussion, the delegation from the "Seminar for Turkmenistan Trade Union Cadres" visited the "Building the New Era through Effort" - a themed exhibition on CULR's initiatives to study and implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's reply letter and the Exhibition Hall for Labor Model Education. In the coming days, the seminar trainees will receive a three-day training session at CULR.
