Recently, the 8th Cross-Straits Organizational Behavior and Talent Development Academic Conference was held in grand style at the International Academic Exchange Center of Shanxi University of Finance and Economics. More than 20 universities and research institutions from both sides of the Taiwan Strait, including the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Chang Jung Christian University, China University of Labor Relations, National Chung Cheng University, Shandong University of Finance and Economics, National Sun Yat-sen University, Shandong University, Nanjing University, National Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology, and Shenzhen University, gathered to discuss and exchange views on the theme of "Corporate Social Responsibility and Human Resource Management." Vice President Zhao Guohao of Shanxi University of Finance and Economics and Professor Lee Yuan-Duen of Chang Jung Christian University attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches.
The conference featured keynote speeches. Associate Dean Professor Shen Qinqin of the CULR delivered a keynote speech on "Wage Collective Bargaining from the Perspective of Institutional Change," analyzing and discussing the origins, development, and latest progress of wage collective bargaining in the context of institutional change in China. Professor Lee Yuan-Duen of Chang Jung Christian University presented a comprehensive and profound presentation on "The Source of Leaders' Power and Leadership Effectiveness," addressing key issues such as the difference between leadership and management and effective leadership. Professor Yang Junqing, Director of the Research Office of Shanxi University of Finance and Economics, delivered a speech on "Deepening Organizational System Reform, Establishing a Culture of Win-Win Cooperation, and Fulfilling Corporate Social Responsibility," analyzing the characteristics of human management and social responsibility in different cultural backgrounds, exploring the relationship between externalization, win-win culture, and social responsibility, and emphasizing the need to further deepen organizational system reform to ensure institutional support for corporate social responsibility. Dr. Sun Jingtang of National Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology presented "The Current Implementation Status of the Education and Training Evaluation System in China’s Taiwan Region," providing a brief introduction to the evolution of concepts and practical applications of the education and training evaluation system in China’s Taiwan Region. Researcher Zhou Wenbin of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences delivered a speech on "The Formation of Other-awareness in Human Resource Quality," discussing the harms and causes of the lack of cleanliness, quietness, and other qualities in people's lives, and proposing ways to cultivate other-awareness and improve quality through micro-actions and micro-management.
During the conference, scholars engaged in lively discussions and exchanges on four main themes: individual management and behavior, organizational behavior and employee performance, creativity and innovation, and attitudes and intentions.
The inaugural Cross-Strait Organizational Behavior and Talent Development Academic conference was initiated by Shanghai Jiao Tong University and National Sun Yat-sen University. It was held at Shanghai Jiao Tong University in September 2002. Subsequent conferences were successfully held at National Sun Yat-sen University, Shenzhen University, National Kaohsiung University, Shandong University of Economics, National Chung Cheng University, and China University of Labor Relations. These conferences have brought together a large number of top experts in the field of organizational behavior and talent development research from both sides of the Taiwan Strait, playing a very positive role in promoting academic exchanges and achieving complementary advantages between the academic and business communities on both sides of the Taiwan Strait.
