On August 17, 2015, the 17th China-Japan University Students' Internship Exchange Activity in China, jointly organized by the CULR and the Faculty of Modern China Studies of Aichi University in Japan and hosted by the Chongqing Federation of Trade Unions, was successfully concluded in Chongqing. Li Deqi, President of the CULR; Wu Wanxiong, Vice President; Peng Yong, Secretary-General of the China Workers' Center for International Exchange; Motohiko Sato, President of Aichi University in Japan; Abe Satoru, Dean of the Faculty of Modern Chinese Studies at Aichi Universit; Huang Jianguo, Secretary of the Party Group of the Chongqing Federation of Trade Unions, Deputy Vice Chairman Bie He, Deputy Inspectors Chen Changwei and Zhou Shiyun attended the seminar. 29 students from Aichi University and 12 students from the CULR, as well as some instructors from the two universities, attended the seminar.
With the strong support of the Chongqing Federation of Trade Unions, the internship exchange activities were carried out for a total of 14 days. Chinese and Japanese students formed three thematic groups: Enterprise Group, Urban Group and Rural Group. They respectively conducted in-depth field visits to enterprises, communities and rural areas on issues such as the humanistic care system of enterprises, tourism industry development and rural development in the new era. They visited different types of enterprises, community institutions, families, tourist attractions, agricultural estates, and some self-employed households in Chongqing, and formed thematic research reports of each group under the guidance of teachers from the two universities. At the internship study presentation on August 15, the students presented the results of the internship activities and shared the achievements and experience of the internship.
At the seminar, President Li Deqi and Dean Abe Satoru gave speeches on the mutual understanding and talent development of students from the two countries. Li Shuang, a professor at CULR's School of Culture and Communication, commented on this report and the results of the students' research. He affirmed the results of the internships of the students from the two universities, as well as the solidarity, cooperation and seriousness of the students from both sides in the activities.
This is a long-term exchange activity between the CULR and Aichi University in Japan. The event was successfully held and set up a cooperation and exchange platform for academic exchanges and talent training between the two universities.
