On March 23, Vice Rector Ip Kuai Peng of City University of Macau led a delegation to CULR for an exchange visit. Li Ke, Member of the Standing Committee of CULR Party Committee and Vice President, received the delegation from City University of Macau. Personnel-in-charge from relevant functional departments including the Personnel Office, Academic Affairs Office, Department of Scientific Research, Graduate Affairs Office, and Office of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs accompanied the exchange.

On behalf of Liu Xiangbing, Secretary of the Party Committee of CULR, Li Ke extended a sincere welcome to the delegation and briefly introduced the university's development over the past two years. He hoped that the two universities would align with China's 15th Five-Year Plan and deepen pragmatic cooperation in multiple fields: in terms of talent cultivation, expand channels for master's and doctoral studies, strengthen short-term exchanges among teachers and students, and explore new models of talent cultivation; in terms of faculty development, improve teachers' teaching and management capabilities through teacher mutual visits, mutual appointment of doctoral supervisors, and joint application for postdoctoral research stations; in terms of discipline construction, focus on characteristic fields such as regional and national trade union research, trade unions and labor relations, jointly build academic platforms, hold graduate forums, and promote curriculum co-construction and resource sharing.
Ip Kuai Peng expressed his gratitude for the warm reception of CULR and spoke highly of the achievements the university has made in discipline construction and talent cultivation. He put forward three suggestions to deepen exchanges and cooperation between the two universities: first, in terms of student recommendation, fresh graduates of CULR are welcome to apply for master's programs in International Relations, Public Administration, Law, Economics and other majors at City University of Macau, especially encouraging students aspiring to International Relations & Governance and Lusophone Studies to apply, and the university will offer tailored training support for students with no prior knowledge of Portuguese; second, in terms of scientific research cooperation, it is hoped that the two universities will take turns hosting forums on trade unions and social movements, and jointly carry out research projects, promote the submission of academic achievements and support the development of think tanks by relying on the National Social Science Fund, national-level joint funding projects and the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin platform; third, current students of CULR are welcome to participate in the Global Summer Program of City University of Macau and apply for the Ten Thousand Talent Program to deepen student exchange.

At the meeting, the two sides conducted in-depth discussions on talent cultivation, scientific research cooperation, discipline development, faculty exchange and joint construction of academic platforms, and put forward a number of substantive cooperation proposals. This exchange has laid a solid foundation for further deepening cooperation between the two universities. Taking this opportunity, both sides will promote resource sharing for complementary advantages, and jointly promote the high-quality development of education in both universities.
