From August 26 to September 1, as part of the CULR’s plan for external cooperation and exchange projects, 15 undergraduate students from the CULR's School of Labor Union, accompanied by teachers Yuan Huijian and Meng Xianhong, visited Youth Outreach, a social work organization established in 1991. The group participated in a one-week summer study and practice exchange activity.
During the week-long exchange and study, teachers and students learned about the history and current situation of social welfare services and experienced the popular youth culture in Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, and participated in practical community social work. They gained new insights into the service concepts and methods of social work in Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. This exchange activity broadened the students' horizons, expanded their perspectives, and allowed them to experience the professional attitude and work philosophy of social workers in Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. At the same time, it laid a good foundation for further cooperation and exchanges between CULR and Youth Outreach, as well as other professional social work institutions.
At the end of the exchange activity, the head of the Youth Research Centre presented the students with certificates for the Youth Work Internship Training Program.
