To enhance cooperation and exchanges between the CULR and relevant American universities, and to expand opportunities for our teachers and students to study, train, and engage in academic exchanges at American universities, President Li Deqi recently led a delegation to visit California State University, Fullerton, at their invitation.
During the visit to California State University, Fullerton, President Li Deqi met with the university's key leaders, the head of international academic exchange, and leaders of relevant departments to thoroughly discuss cooperation in various fields between the two universities. They negotiated a framework agreement for collaboration, focusing on specific projects such as training and studying abroad for our teachers and administrators, short-term exchanges for our students, semester study programs, and credit recognition. Both parties agreed to begin implementing these cooperation projects next year. President Li Deqi also met with five students from the CULR currently studying for a semester at Fullerton. He had detailed discussions with them about their academic and living conditions. These five students, the first group selected from the CULR to study at an American university for a semester, come from the School of Economics and Management, the School of Public Policy and Management, and the School of Culture and Communication. They began their semester at California State University, Fullerton at the end of August this year.

During the visit, the delegation also visited Stanford University to learn about their advanced experience in teaching, research, and management, as well as to exchange with the Chinese visiting scholars and students at the university. The delegation also visited California State Polytechnic University, Pomona for exchanges, met with the one who in charge of international affairs and the international education team, and communicated on matters such as summer camps, sending visiting scholars, and student exchange programs, reaching preliminary cooperation intentions.
