From November 2 to 3, the 2017 Academic Conference on Labor and Employment Relations was held at the Chinese Culture University and the Da-Yeh University. More than 100 scholars from the CULR, Renmin University of China, Xiamen University, Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, The Hong Kong Institute of Human Resource Management, China Association of Employment Promotion, National Chung Cheng University, and Chinese Culture University attended the conference.
This conference is hosted by the China Association of Labor and Employment Relations and co-organized by the CULR. It mainly focuses on a wide range of issues including enhancement of the effectiveness of the consultation and cooperation mechanism between workers, employers, and government, labor economy and industrial relations, organization and human resource management, labor standards and labor welfare, human development and employment promotion, and new developments in the sharing economy. Associate Professor Zhang Zhiqi from the School of Business Administration and Associate Professor Zhang Yanhua from the School of Labor Relations and Human Resources of the CULR respectively gave presentations on "Research Methods for Labor Economics" and "Labor Market Flexibility and Safety: Influencing Factors, Market Performance, and Policy Choices - A Literature Review", and had lively discussions and in-depth exchanges with the attending scholars.
This academic seminar has provided a platform for scholars and students from the Chinese mainland, China’s Taiwan Region and Hong Kong Special Administrative Region to engage in in-depth exchanges and learning, achieving a good effect of academic exchange and enhancing cross-strait relations.
