On the afternoon of November 22, a delegation of seven members from the Friedrich Ebert Foundation (FEF) of Germany, led by Secretary-General Roland Schmidt, visited the China University of Labor Relations for friendly exchanges and discussions. Li Deqi, President of the CULR, Yang Dongmei, Director of the School of Labor Union, Jiang Ying, Director of the Law School, Lin Yanling, Professor at the School of Labor Relations and Human Resources, and Wu Wanxiong, Director of the Foreign Affairs Office, held discussions with the delegation members.
President Li Deqi briefly introduced the CULR's characteristic educational mechanism of the "three-in-one" model to the delegation members. He expressed gratitude for the consistent support and assistance provided by the FEF during the years of cooperation and exchanges between the two sides. Secretary-General Schmidt first highly praised the academic research achievements of the CULR in the field of Chinese labor relations and thanked the CULR for playing an important role in the exchange with the FEF, stating that they will continue to strengthen cooperation with the CULR in various aspects.
During the meeting, the delegation members of the FEF expressed their concerns about the Chinese labor market, labor relations, and union development. The two sides also discussed and exchanged views on hot issues of common interest such as fair distribution, employment and wage differences between male and female workers, labor dispatch, and collective wage bargaining system.
Secretary-General Schmidt was accompanied by Ms. Christiane Kasper, Director of the Department of International Cooperation and Development of the FEF, Mr. Jürgen Stetten, Director of the Asia-Pacific Office of the Department of International Cooperation and Development of the FEF, and Mr. Sven Schwersensky, Director of the Beijing Representative Office of the FEF.
