From October 15 to 19, 2015, at the invitation of the organizer, Chinese Culture University, eight members of our delegation and two members of the All-China Foreign Exchange Center visited to Taipei to participate in the 19th Social Asia Forum.
The theme of this year's forum is “Youth Employment and Industrial Relations in East Asia”. President Li Deqi of the CULR co-chaired the academic report and exchange activities of this forum with senior experts and scholars from universities and trade unions in Japan, South Korea and China's Taiwan Region. During the meeting, Associate Professors Li Lei and Li Hongjian, and Professor Yang Sibin, respectively, published the reports entitled "Role Playing of Trade Union Organizations in Youth Employment Training and Employment Security" and "Analysis of Informal Employment Status of Youth in the Chinese Mainland and Its Influencing Factors", which received enthusiastic reactions and praise from the participating experts and scholars. Professor Jiang Ying presided over the special report and academic deliberations of the Japanese delegation. Other members of our delegation had extensive and in-depth exchanges with the participants on the theme of the forum.
The forum was attended by more than 50 experts and scholars from three countries, including China's Taiwan Region. The brief few days of the forum, full of warm, frank and in-depth academic exploration and interactive atmosphere, not only enhanced the depth of research on the theme of the forum, but also further strengthened the close ties between the participants in the academic field.
The Social Asia Forum was initiated by the China University of Labor Relations, as well as universities and related departments in China, Japan, South Korea, and China's Taiwan Region (China Culture University). Since the 1990s, 19 forums have been held in four regions in rotation. As an important academic platform in the field of labor relations in East Asia, the forum has increasingly shown a wide range of social influence on promoting and deepening academic exchanges and research in the field of labor relations in the four regions over the years.
