On June 20, during CULR's celebration of the 75th anniversary, Vice President Liu Fei of Kyoto College of Graduate Studies for Informatics (KCGI) paid a visit to our university. This reciprocal visit marked the further communication on future intercollegiate cooperation following the visit of CULR Vice President Liu Lihong to KCGI in May 2024. The discussion was attended by the delegates from CULR's School of Computer Science, Office of Student Affairs, Office of International Cooperation and Exchanges, and Youth League Committee, and the lecture of KCGI's Summer Program was attended by more than 100 teachers and students from the secondary-level schools in both online and offline forms.
During the discussion, Xu Yanli, Head of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchanges, extended a warm welcome to KCGI Vice President Liu Fei. She said that since 2007 the two universities have maintained deep friendship and achieved prominent results of exchanges. In the future, both sides will further strengthen communication and cooperation on research study, exchange of students, joint construction of academic platforms, etc.
Vice President Liu Fei expressed gratitude for CULR's warm reception, and reviewed the important outcomes of CULR Vice President Liu Lihong's visit to his university. He explained the advantages of characteristic majors of KCGI, expressed willingness on deeper intercollegiate cooperation, and accepted the invitation to visit our university during the 75th anniversary.
During the visit, Liu Fei presented a lecture on KCGI's Summer Program to online and offline audiences. He introduced the university's educational characteristics, teaching force, student enrollment and employment, scientific research, external exchanges, etc., detailed the content and participating process of the summer program, and answered questions raised by students.
Founded in 2004 and based in Kyoto, KCGI is Japan's first professional college for IT postgraduate education to satisfy the high-end and diversified talent needs of the IT society, and quickly respond to information and IT development. By teaching theories and applied technologies in polytechnics, management science and other academic fields, the college aims to cultivate senior professionals of applied informatics shouldering mission of the times, and owning advanced practice capability and creativity.
