From October 25 to 26, the "2018 Labor and Employment Relations Academic Seminar" was held at the Chinese Culture University in Taiwan. More than 100 scholars, teachers and students from Renmin University of China, Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, Wuhan University of Science and Technology, Chinese Culture University, National Chengchi University, Dayeh University, National Chung Cheng University and other universities and organizations attended the seminar.
This seminar was sponsored by Chung-hua Labor and Employment Relations Association and co-sponsored by CULR. The seminar was focused on the discussion of the following topics: retirement pension and aged service, labor economy and industrial relations, laborer-employer relations and human resource management, employment promotion and vocational training, laborer well-being and future work. At the seminar, Professor ZHAO Zuping of the Department of Public Management of CULR, reported on “The coordination mechanism of labor relations in France and the changes under the financial crisis” and “A study on the situation of workers participation in mainland China: A survey based on 7 provinces and cities”. Associate Professor ZHANG Yuan of the Department of Labor Relations gave a presentation on “Sino-US bilateral investment and its employment effect under the adjustment of foreign economic and trade strategy” and discussed in-depth with the participating scholars.
This seminar built a good platform of cross-strait academic exchanges for scholars and students at the two sides of the strait and promoted the intellectual exchange and friendship at the same time.
