On the afternoon of March 10, Thomas Jurk, Governor of Saxony and Minister of the Saxony State for Economic Affairs and Labor, led a delegation of 16 people visited CULR, and had a thematic exchange with teachers and students from the Schools of Labor Relation, Trade Union, Safety Engineering, Government, and Law on "Labor Protection and Safety in Germany". The exchange was focused on "Labor Protection and Safety in Germany". The President of CULR, Prof. Li Deqi, hosted the exchange activities; while Vice President of CULR, Prof. Shen Qinqin, participated in the activities.
Mr. Thomas Jurk presented the labor protection and safety situation in Germany from various perspectives, including the legal basis of labor protection in Germany, the responsibilities of the administrative departments in labor protection, the design and implementation of the labor inspector system, which plays an important role in guaranteeing labor protection and safety in Germany, and the specific situation of labor protection in the state of Saxony. Teachers and students from CULR exchanged views with the German delegation on Germany's policies on the protection of foreign labor, the independence of labor inspectors, and preventive measures and response to work-related accidents.
The delegation was accompanied by Mr. Klaus, Labor Counselor of the German Embassy in China, Mr. Fichter, Director of the the Beijing Office of Germany Friedrich Albert Foundation, and Mr. Sai Qiao, Project Specialist of the Foundation.
At the end of the exchange program, President Li Deqi presented gifts on behalf of CULR to Mr. Thomas Jurk and his delegation. The exchange program was concluded with warm applause.
